Official 9Mm Makarov Pistol Manual

This excellent and detailed manual is now available, in English, for the many thousands of firearms enthusiasts who have acquired the 9mm Makarov pistol made in the former Soviet Union, or one of the former Soviet bloc countries. The Russian-to-English translation was painstakingly crafted by James Gebhardt, a recognized expert in Soviet military history and an experienced translator of Russian documents.

While the pistol is commonly referred to as the 9mm Makarov, owners and users should note that the original pistols were chambered for the 9mm x 18 mm cartridge. This is different than the 9mm Parabellum or 9mmn Luger cartridge common in many auto loading pistols. Some newly manufactured Makarov pistols are chambered for the .380 ACP cartridges. The use and maintenance of the Makar4ov pistol as described in this manual is essentially the same, regardless of the caliber or country of manufacture.
