Suppressors Vol 6 for KG 99

Introduction
The purpose of this manual is to provide the necessary information, instructions, and machinist drawings for the construction of sound suppressors for the INTERDYNAMICS KG-9 and KG-99 semi-automatic pistols.

The suppressor design detailed here will not completely eliminate all of the discharge sound of the weapon being fired. This is a popular misconception generated by T.V. and movie portrayals. This suppressor is designed to greatly reduce the total noise emissions to a more tolerable level.

The KG-9 and KG-99 are classified as semiautomatic pistols, and function by elementary blowback. Both weapons are chambered for the 9mm Parabellum cartridge. The KG-9 operates from the open-bolt position while the KG-99 operates from a closed-bolt.

Both weapons feature high magazine capacity similar to military submachine guns, yet retain a reasonably light overall weight.
Because of the compact design of these pistols, the addition of a suppressor does not make the weapons overly bulky when compared to silenced submachine guns.
